About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a leading law firm, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employment Solicitor to join their esteemed legal team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and a passion for providing exceptional legal services to clients. As an Employment Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload, including advising clients on a range of employment issues, representing them in tribunals, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of employment matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, and workplace disputes.
Client Representation: Represent clients in employment tribunals and other dispute resolution forums, ensuring their interests are effectively presented and protected.
Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice to clients on various employment law issues, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
Documentation: Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, settlement agreements, and tribunal bundles.
Tribunal Appearances: Attend and advocate in tribunal hearings, preliminary hearings, and case management discussions.
Client Liaison: Maintain regular contact with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and developments.
Negotiations: Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure all legal activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Professional Development: Stay updated with changes in employment law and attend relevant training and seminars to maintain and enhance professional competence.
Business Development: Assist with business development activities, including client pitches, seminars, and networking events to grow the firm’s employment law practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background: Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate.
Experience: Proven experience in employment law, with a strong track record of managing a varied caseload.
Advocacy Skills: Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience representing clients in tribunals.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Professional Integrity: High level of professional integrity and ethical standards.
