As the KBL network continues to expand across the state, so do the career opportunities! We are currently hiring for casual school bus drivers based at our Burpengary depot.
We currently have multiple positions available to operate services for Translink’s urban school routes as well as private schools. As a school bus driver, there’s also opportunity to drive school shuttle services, swimming carnivals, sports transfers, camps, and more. Additionally, during term breaks, there are also opportunities to drive for rail replacement services.

We are looking for friendly people to become our drivers who are the foundation of what we do – you will drive our beautiful and modern fleet and provide customer service excellence and get people to where they want to go with a smile!
Skills & Experience:
• A current QLD Medium Rigid (MR) driving licence (or above).
• A current QLD Drivers Authorisation (DA) – Class General (or the ability to obtain one).
• Prior experience in bus driving (desirable but not essential; New drivers welcome)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment functional medical and drug and alcohol clearance.
• Australian work rights.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Some things you should know about driving for us:
• Casual positions available.
• New drivers to the industry are welcome- you will commence as a casual and be given the opportunities to learn and progress.
• We have a dedicated training team to assist your progress.
• Casual hours during the school term breaks available.
• After a qualifying period, suitable drivers may learn other areas, such as our Urban Route services or Tour and Charter services.
• Work may include weekends and nights.
