Summary:

As a Room Leader in the Education & Training sector, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Based in Moranbah, Queensland, this permanent full-time position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to the development and well-being of young learners. You will lead a team, ensuring high standards of care and education while collaborating with families and the community to support children’s growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of educators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality educational practices.
• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate learning programs that cater to the individual needs of children.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the community to promote a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to families.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders to support children’s holistic development.

Qualifications:

• A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (e.g., Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, along with a Working with Children Check.
