Based in our Sutherland office, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of remedial engineering, which includes investigating and repairing remedial and structural building defects in the residential, commercial and Government building space.   

As the Remedial Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:  

  • Site Investigations and diagnosis of building defects,
  • Preparing technical site reports, building condition reports and building defects reports,
  • Preparing scope of works documents, marking up and reviewing design drawings, tender and contract documentation,
  • Managing projects on-site and inspect construction works,
  • Delivering projects to a high standard of quality and expertise,
  • Liaising with Clients and Contractors to build relationships and business growth initiatives,
  • Preparing fee proposals and meeting minute documents,
  • Producing, reviewing, and checking designs and specifications in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Codes under limited supervision,
  • Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, and,
  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary.

Your experience will include:  

  • An Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years post-graduate remedial engineering consultancy experience or considerable experience in the construction industry, including waterproofing and concrete repair.
  • Previous experience in preparing remedial building reports, technical specifications, and tender documentation,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • Familiarity with the Strata and residential industry or working on construction projects,
  • Proven experience in maintaining effective client relationships
  • It is desirable for you to be a Registered Design Practitioner, or eligible to become one, and,
  • Collaborative / Team approach.
