Construction Project Manager

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects in East Melbourne, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building and construction, demonstrating leadership and effective communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and finalise construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Prepare and present project documentation and reports to stakeholders
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction project management
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
