Senior Project Manager

IPTel Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and help us continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

IPTel Solutions delivers networking professional services and builds complex corporate networks. As a Cisco Gold Partner, we specialise in Cisco, Meraki and enterprise networking solutions across a diverse range of customers and industries.

Our projects vary considerably in size and complexity and include large-scale deployments and new-build projects requiring close coordination with customers, builders, construction teams, contractors, technology vendors and other third-party stakeholders.

We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Project Manager with demonstrated experience taking ownership of large and complex projects from inception through to successful delivery. You will need to be confident managing customers, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and competing priorities, while maintaining a high standard of project governance and communication.

Experience with Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba or broader networking technologies would be a significant advantage.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of multiple customer projects, combining IPTel’s engineering resources with your project management expertise to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing large and complex customer projects from inception and planning through to implementation, handover and close-out
• Managing new-build and construction-related projects, coordinating deliverables with customers, builders, contractors, construction teams, vendors and other stakeholders
• Developing, maintaining and actively managing detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and critical paths
• Proactively monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks, delays, scheduling conflicts and resource constraints before they impact delivery
• Managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
• Coordinating IPTel engineers, suppliers and other resources required for successful project delivery
• Chairing customer and project meetings and providing clear, accurate and timely project reporting
• Acting as a key point of contact for customers and confidently managing expectations, commitments and deliverables
• Building effective relationships with customers, builders, contractors and other stakeholders
• Coordinating equipment, resources and personnel required to attend customer and construction sites
• Managing project risks, issues, faults and escalations through to resolution
• Managing project budgets, scope and commercial outcomes
• Identifying, documenting and managing scope changes and project variations
• Reviewing project documentation, reports and deliverables for accuracy and completeness prior to issue
• Taking ownership and accountability for overall project outcomes

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large and complex projects as the accountable Project Manager
• Experience managing new-build, construction or similarly complex project environments involving multiple external stakeholders
• Strong experience working directly with customers, builders, contractors, suppliers and other third parties
• Strong project planning and scheduling capabilities, including the ability to identify dependencies, critical paths, resource constraints and potential delays
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, scope, variations, risks and commercial considerations
• The ability to confidently manage challenging project situations, changing priorities, delays and escalations
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining control of individual milestones, actions and deadlines
• Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills
• A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues in project plans, reports and deliverables before they become problems
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, including developing and maintaining detailed project plans and Gantt charts
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
• A technical background or demonstrated experience managing technology, networking or infrastructure projects
• The ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions and take ownership without requiring close supervision
• A recognised Project Management qualification or certification

Highly Desirable

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

• Cisco or Meraki networking projects
• HPE Aruba networking solutions
• Enterprise Wi-Fi deployments
• Network infrastructure projects
• Smartsheet or similar project management platforms

Above all, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they have personally taken ownership of significant, complex projects and successfully driven them through to completion.
