Go far with IOR

IOR might be the greatest Aussie success story you haven’t heard of… yet.

From humble roots in Eromanga, QLD, we’ve been fuelling the furthest corners of Australia for over 40 years. But we think the most exciting journey’s still on the horizon.

Joining IOR means stepping into a role where your work genuinely matters. As our Service and Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our national network of fuel infrastructure operating safely and reliably. Working closely with operational teams, contractors, and customers, you’ll coordinate fault responses, oversee maintenance activities, and help deliver industry-leading service standards. This is an opportunity to join a growing business where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership will directly support customers across Australia.

About the role

This role sits within our Infrastructure team and is responsible for coordinating responses to faults, maintenance requirements, and field enquiries across IOR’s national fuel infrastructure network. You’ll provide technical guidance, support contractors and field technicians, manage maintenance workflows, and help ensure our equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational. Working from our Port of Brisbane workshop, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service outcomes for customers nationwide.

  • Coordinate fault responses and maintenance activities to ensure timely resolution in line with service level agreements and safety requirements.
  • Provide remote technical support and guidance on fuel systems, equipment operation, and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate job records and reporting within ERP systems to support service delivery and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and service technicians across Australia to deliver efficient and cost-effective repair outcomes.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer support teams to improve equipment reliability and resolve complex technical issues.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring strong technical aptitude, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You’re comfortable coordinating multiple priorities, communicating with a range of stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced environment where customer service and safety are paramount. Experience within fuel infrastructure, maintenance coordination, or technical service environments will help you succeed in this role.

  • Experience in the fuel industry, maintenance coordination, field service, or a similar technical support environment.
  • Trade qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and business systems, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Current driver’s licence and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused outcomes.
