Intrinsic Health is looking to welcome a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to our growing Residential Aged Care team on a casual basis.

This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn, and passionate about supporting older people to stay safe, active, independent and engaged in the things that matter to them.

About the role

As part of our Residential Aged Care team, you will work alongside experienced allied health professionals to support residents with their physical health, mobility, independence and overall wellbeing.

Your work may include:

  • Chronic disease and injury management
  • Manual handling and functional assessments
  • Initial assessments and clinical referrals
  • Falls prevention, risk management and education
  • Equipment prescription
  • Exercise programs and re-enablement services
  • Attending clinical meetings and case conferences
  • Supporting clinical staff training
  • Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team in residential aged care
  • Opportunities to build a private caseload and community referrals over time

What you’ll need

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA General Registration
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Police Check completed within the last 3 months, or willingness to obtain
  • Current influenza and COVID vaccination evidence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Medicare Provider Number, or willingness to obtain
