Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a casual role within the Intereach – Deniliquin Family Centre. This position is vital for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for preschool and out-of-school hours (OOSH) children. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and well-being of young learners, ensuring they receive high-quality educational experiences that align with our organisational values.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children’s development and learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children in both preschool and OOSH settings.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support children’s individual needs and interests.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and attendance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, or working towards this qualification and registered with an RTO.
- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or OOSH setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working with Children Check clearance.
