Description

Ingenia is a well-known and respected Australian-owned Engineering Consultancy located on the city fringe in Adelaide. Following continued project success and growth, we are seeking an experienced Design Drafter to join our team based in our Mile End office.

Our work is varied and technically interesting, spanning sectors including mining, infrastructure, defence, food and beverage, packaging, water, cement and aggregates, and construction.

This role will support the delivery of structural and civil projects, with a strong focus on producing accurate and well-coordinated construction documentation.

You will be working within a small, collaborative team alongside engineers and other drafters, with the opportunity to take ownership of your work while being supported by the broader team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare structural and civil construction documentation using Revit and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured drawing sets for construction.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure design intent is properly documented.
  • Identify and resolve documentation and coordination issues.
  • Contribute across multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Assist with development of Revit components/families where required.

About You:

  • Approximately 3+ years’ experience in a drafting role within a consulting environment.
  • Strong Revit skills, particularly in producing construction documentation.
  • Experience in structural and/or civil drafting.
  • Practical understanding of construction methodologies and buildability.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality documentation

Additional Requirements:

  • Practical understanding of relevant Australian Standards and their application.
  • A focus on quality and willingness to check and improve your own work.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Experience working across multi-disciplinary project environments.
