About the role
Bio-Cosmetics Lab is seeking a full-time Production Team Leader to join our team in Smeaton Grange. As the Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a designated production line to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating team activities, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Team Leader acts as the key link between production staff and management, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate and guide production line operators to meet daily production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor line performance, report issues promptly, and assist in resolving minor problems.
- Ensure accurate completion of batch records, logbooks, and other GMP documentation.
- Perform and oversee in-process checks to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Support training of new operators on equipment use, safety, hygiene, and GMP requirements.
- Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, and safety policies.
- Assist with line changeovers, equipment set-up, and cleaning activities in a controlled environment.
- Escalate deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors or managers.
- Promote teamwork and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements or efficiency gains.
