Summary:

Back2Work Solutions are looking for a Rehabilitation Counsellor to join their team in Brisbane. You will play a crucial role in supporting individuals recovering from injury or illness. Your expertise will help clients navigate their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and resources to reintegrate into their personal and professional lives. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients, helping them cope with the emotional and psychological aspects of their recovery.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Liaise with employers, insurers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth return to work for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and relevant legislation to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in rehabilitation counselling or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and rehabilitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in using case management software and other relevant technology.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
