About hsy

We’ve come a long way from our 1963 beginnings importing Porsche engine parts for snowmobiles. Today, we’re proud to be Australia’s leading independent importer and distributor of automotive parts for prestige European brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG, Volvo and more.

At hsy, people are our most important part. Our culture is built on our CRISTA values: Customer Focused, Respect, Innovation, Safety, Trust, and Accountability, and we are committed to creating a workplace where our people can grow and succeed.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and versatile Site Assistant to join our team at our Keswick branch.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days will necessarily look the same. You’ll support different areas of the branch depending on what the team needs- from picking and packing orders in the warehouse, to completing customer deliveries, through to helping with straightforward customer and parts enquiries.

It’s also a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in the automotive parts industry. You’ll receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced Parts Interpreters and branch team members to develop your product knowledge, systems skills and confidence over time.

If you like variety, enjoy being part of a team and are happy to jump in wherever needed, this could be a great fit.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Picking, packing, receiving and dispatching stock and customer orders
  • Helping keep stock accurate, organised and ready to go
  • Completing customer deliveries, branch transfers and supplier collections as required
  • Providing friendly and professional service when dealing with customers
  • Assisting with straightforward customer and parts enquiries in branch, over the phone and via email
  • Learning to identify and process parts using hsy systems, catalogues and interpreting tools
  • Supporting experienced Parts Interpreters during busy periods and operational gaps
  • Working across warehouse, delivery and customer service activities depending on branch priorities
  • Keeping work areas safe, clean and organised
  • Building your automotive parts and product knowledge through ongoing training and hands-on experience

The balance between warehouse, driving and customer support will vary depending on the needs of the branch. At times, driving may form a regular part of the role, including covering our usual delivery runs when required. A company vehicle is provided when completing driving duties.

About You

You don’t need to walk in knowing every European part number, we can help you build that knowledge.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn and develop
  • Enjoys variety and is comfortable moving between different tasks throughout the day
  • Is reliable, organised and takes pride in getting things right
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with customers and teammates
  • Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems and online catalogues
  • Works well in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Is physically comfortable with hands-on warehouse duties, including lifting items up to 20kg
  • Holds a current driver’s licence and is a safe and responsible driver
  • Has an interest in automotive parts or vehicles. Previous automotive, warehouse, delivery or customer service experience would be an advantage, but isn’t essential

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

At hsy, we take our culture seriously. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Two paid wellbeing days every year
  • Free lunch every day and team lunch every Friday
  • Regular team events and social catchups
  • Plenty of room to grow with career progression and development opportunities
  • On-the-job training and the opportunity to build your automotive parts knowledge
  • Supportive team environment where you’re seen, heard and appreciated
  • The opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of branch operations
