What You’ll Be Doing:

• 2D Pipeline Flow: Coordinate asset handoffs across pre-production, design, storyboards, animatics, rigging, animation and compositing departments.
• ShotGrid Management: Maintain ShotGrid as the single source of truth for task statuses, asset linking, versions and department assignments.
• Milestone & Quota Tracking: Look 2-4 weeks ahead to spot potential bottlenecks, monitor department quotas and ensure handoffs occur seamlessly on schedule.
• Team & Director Support: Act as the central operational bridge between department supervisors, directors and production management to keep friction low and creative momentum high.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years’ experience coordinating episodic 2D animated TV series.
• ShotGrid Fluency: Demonstrated experience managing task statuses, scene tracking and asset libraries inside ShotGrid.
• 2D Pipeline Literacy: Solid understanding of 2D animation production stages (from script and animatic to final comp).
• Proactive Communication: Clear, calm and solutions-focused communication skills under active production deadlines.

The Feedback Loop & Reporting Line:

• Reporting Line: You report directly to the Production Manager.
• Consultative Approach: Before any significant changes to a department’s workflow, schedule, or delivery dates, you must verify the plan with the Production Manager.
• Escalation: If a department falls behind or a bottleneck occurs, you identify the issue and present potential solutions for review. You do not independently authorise changes to scope, budget, or significant milestones.

The Coordinator Mindset:

• Communication: You understand that clear communication is key to a successful production. You actively seek clarification, avoid assumptions and ensure expectations, updates and changes are communicated clearly so everyone has the information needed to move forward. You help keep teams aligned by ensuring relevant information is shared with the right people at the right time.
• Ownership: You take ownership of supporting your assigned departments from a production perspective. Working closely with HODs and Supervisors, you help track priorities, anticipate needs and ensure teams are aligned with production goals and deadlines, while understanding that creative and technical decisions remain with the relevant HODs and Supervisors.
• Adaptability: Animation production is constantly evolving. You are comfortable adjusting priorities, responding to changing production needs and supporting the team through shifting schedules and requirements.
• Judgement: You understand when a situation can be resolved independently and when it requires input or escalation. You make thoughtful decisions while recognising the importance of keeping the appropriate people informed.
• Team Collaboration: You contribute to a positive and supportive team culture, recognising that successful productions rely on trust, respect and collaboration across departments.
