The Opportunity

Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the delivery of safe, effective, and individualised clinical care. You will play a key role in ensuring best practice standards are consistently met, supporting the professional development of our nursing team, as they partner with Centre leaders and educators to promote positive health outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Supervision:

• Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Enrolled Nurses across all Centres
• Act as a clinical escalation point for complex or high-risk health matters.
• Support nurses to deliver evidence-based, child-centered care aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of clinical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement

Care Coordination & Delivery:

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of safe, effective, and individualised health care for children.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation, assessments and care plans are maintained.
• Support the management of medical conditions, medication administration, and health interventions.
• Monitor and review clinical practices to ensure consistency and quality across Centres.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with AHPRA standards, organisational policies, and relevant legislation
• Support infection prevention and control practices within Centres.
• Participate in audits, reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
• Identify and proactively manage clinical risks.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with Centre leaders, educators, families and external health professionals.
• Support the nurse team to provide clear, compassionate, and professional communication to families regarding children’s health needs
• Contribute clinical expertise to multidisciplinary discussions and decision-making.

Professional Development & Mentorship:

• Support the onboarding, mentoring and ongoing professional development of Enrolled Nurses.
• Share knowledge and provide coaching to strengthen clinical capability across the team.
• Maintain own professional development and clinical currency.

Experience and qualifications:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in General Practice, Paediatrics, Community Health
• Strong clinical judgement and the ability to provide supervision and leadership
• Confidence working autonomously while contributing positively to a broader clinical team
