Description

Honeysuckle Health

At Honeysuckle Health, we’re on a mission to help people lead healthier lives by connecting them with effective, affordable and personalised care. Through digital and telephonic health programs, data-driven insights and strong industry partnerships, we’re building a more connected and value-driven healthcare system for all Australians. We’re a wholly owned member of the nib Group and are merging with nib’s digital health company, Midnight Health, to form an integrated health services organisation offering a broad suite of health programs and services.

About the role

The Medical Specialist Partnership Manager designs, grows and manages Honeysuckle Health’s medical specialist networks on behalf of our insurer partners. Working closely with the Head of Medical and Ancillary Partnerships, the role builds strong, collaborative relationships with medical specialists, analyses claims and market data to shape new funding and contracting models, manages specialist agreements, and reports on network performance.

Medical specialists account for a significant share of the claims insurers pay. As healthcare costs rise and insurers focus on the affordability and sustainability of their products, well-designed specialist networks help members access high-quality care with greater certainty about out-of-pocket costs, while keeping arrangements fair and workable for specialists. Balancing the needs of specialists, members and insurers is central to this role.

This role is based in Sydney or Newcastle – candidates based in Sydney will be required to travel to Newcastle periodically. Within this role, occasional interstate travel will also be required to support business and stakeholder engagement activities. Applications are welcomed from candidates located in either Sydney or Newcastle.

Performance monitoring and reporting

  • Continuously monitor network performance and identify areas needing closer analysis or improvement.
  • Contribute to regular reporting, including commentary on trends and results.
