Casual | $50–$60 per hour | Monday to Wednesday | Spring Hill on-site location.
HMB Barbers seeks an experienced and highly capable Office Administrator within our Brisbane Head Office.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our Head Office team and Qld store network. We are offering a strong hourly rate because we need someone who can learn our systems quickly, take ownership of their work and keep tasks moving without needing constant supervision.
This is an on-site role at our Spring Hill office with hours generally between 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday. As this is a casual engagement, hours may vary once priority projects and outstanding work have been brought up to date.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Responding to routine customer enquiries received through our website and social media channels
- Maintaining lists and registers, including store contacts, assets and maintenance records
- Updating Employment Hero records, including employee assets, keys, cards and other assigned onboarding/offboarding tasks
- Following up outstanding employee induction and onboarding requirements
- Reviewing rosters, sales and other data for compliance with policies and escalate issues quickly and accurately.
- Chasing staff for receipts and other information required
- Packing and posting products, uniforms and other items to stores
- Organising repairs, contacting suppliers and liaising with stores as required regarding ad-hoc issues that may arise.
- Collecting printing and coordinating other practical Head Office requirements
- Maintaining clear records and providing a useful handover of outstanding matters
What we’re looking for:
- Strong general computer skills and high confidence using Microsoft 365
- Practical experience with Sharepoint, Teams, and online record-management systems
- The ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly; experience with Employment Hero and Square POS would be highly regarded
- Strong organisation and follow-through—you keep track of work and close tasks without needing repeated reminders
- The confidence to investigate straightforward issues and find information before escalating them
- Excellent written communication and the ability to deal professionally with employees, managers, customers and suppliers
- Strong accuracy when updating employee, store, asset and operational records
- A current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for occasional post office, printing or local collection requirements (if required from time to time).
Why join HMB Barbers?
- Attractive hourly rate commensurate with experience
- A consistent Monday-to-Wednesday working pattern in most weeks
- A varied position where you can make an immediate and visible contribution
- The opportunity to work with a growing Queensland business supporting a multi-site store network
- A practical Head Office environment where capable people are trusted to take ownership of their work
This role would suit someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments, is confident with technology and takes pride in completing work properly.
