Auto Electrician & Accessories Installer

Hidrive is seeking two skilled, hands-on tradespeople to join our team: 

Both roles are based in Northgate and suit people who enjoy practical, on-the-tools work installing electrical systems and accessories across a broad range of vehicles.

About the roles

Both positions involve fitting service bodies onto new vehicles as outlined in work instructions and engineering drawings. Tasks include installing accessories onto vehicles and service bodies, such as bull bars, LRFTs, cranes and winches. You’ll work in clean, modern workshops with in-house training and all tools provided.

Auto Electrician & Accessories Installer:

This role is based on site at our Brisbane facility, carrying out high-quality installations in a fast-paced, workshop-driven setting.

Mobile Auto Electrician & Accessories Installer:

This role works from our Brisbane facility but includes regular travel to other national Hidrive locations, depending on workload. It suits someone who enjoys variety and being on the move.

Both roles offer variety, technical challenge and regular exposure to different vehicle builds.

About you

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Proactive, organised and accountable to the business
• Demonstrated competency in automotive electrical tasks, accessory installations, fit-outs and vehicle integrations
• Innovation and process mapping skills to continually improve on existing challenges and issues
• Works collaboratively with your manager and the team on site
• Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety policies
• Customer-focused
• Strong communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• You enjoy being part of a great culture and a collaborative team
• You have a keen eye for detail
• You think outside the box and enjoy finding solutions to problems
