Heritage Minerals is bringing the historic Mount Morgan Mine back to life, restoring the rattle and hum of an operation that holds more than 30 years of history. Now, we’re looking for skilled, motivated and safety-driven Process Operators to be part of our new processing plant and growing operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new gold processing plant, working across multiple areas of the operation and playing an important role in establishing safe, efficient and reliable production.

THE OPPORTUNITY

These are permanent salaried positions working a continuous rotating roster of 8 days on / 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on / 7 nights off, working 12-hour shifts, with 5 weeks of annual leave.

You’ll gain exposure to multiple areas of our new processing plant, developing your skills and contributing across a range of operational circuits and processes.

Our plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with only short scheduled shutdowns to maintain maximum plant availability.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Safely operate, monitor and optimise fixed plant equipment across multiple processing areas.
• Work across crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP, elution, gold room, tailings and water treatment circuits.
• Conduct routine plant inspections, identify operational issues and take appropriate action.
• Monitor plant performance, process conditions and equipment to support production targets.
• Complete plant start-ups, shutdowns and isolation procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Assist with troubleshooting and minor maintenance activities.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the plant.
• Complete accurate production records, operational log sheets and shift handovers.
• Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to maximise plant availability.
• Maintain compliance with all site safety, environmental and operational requirements.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience operating within a fixed gold processing plant (highly regarded).
• Exposure to crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP, elution, gold room, tailings or water treatment operations.
• A strong understanding of safe operating practices and plant procedures.
• Sound mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• The flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts.
• The ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor industrial environment.
• A commitment to upholding our values of Safety, Respect, Responsibility and Innovation.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• National Police Check (or ability to obtain one).
• Full Australian working rights.

HIGHLY REGARDED

• Certificate III in Resource Processing or a similar qualification (or a willingness to undertake the qualification).
• Front End Loader, Forklift, EWP or Telehandler tickets.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Previous experience operating within a process control system.

Please note: This is a hands-on operational role in a large industrial processing environment. The plant includes multiple levels, ladders, stairways and elevated work areas, with exposure to varying weather conditions. You’ll need to be comfortable working at heights, navigating the plant and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
