Laboratory Expressions of Interest

Heritage Minerals is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced & motivated individuals to join our Processing Plant Laboratory team at the historic Mount Morgan Gold Mine. Opportunities are available across the following roles:

Chemist

Join our laboratory team and play a key role in delivering accurate analytical results that support mining, processing and environmental operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fire assay, wet chemistry and analytical testing.
• Prepare samples and operate laboratory equipment.
• Apply QA/QC procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and laboratory standards.

About You

Essential

• Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Science or similar.
• Experience in an analytical or assay laboratory (mining preferred).
• Strong QA/QC knowledge and commitment to safety.

Desirable

• Gold fire assay and base metal analysis experience.
• Familiarity with LIMS.
• Previous site-based mining experience.

Laboratory Analyst

Support the Chemist by preparing samples, conducting routine analysis and ensuring reliable laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse samples.
• Assist with fire assay and wet chemistry.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain QA/QC standards.
• Accurately record results and maintain a safe work environment.

About You

Essential

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent laboratory qualification or experience.
• Laboratory experience, preferably in mining or mineral processing.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Desirable

• Fire assay or mineral processing experience.
• Familiarity with LIMS.
• Previous site-based mining experience.

Laboratory Assistant

An excellent opportunity to start or further your career in laboratory operations while supporting the laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, label and organise samples.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and equipment.
• Assist the Chemist and Laboratory Analyst with daily tasks.
• Follow laboratory procedures and WHS requirements.

About You

Essential

• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks.

Desirable

• Experience in a laboratory, mining or industrial environment.
• Sample preparation or laboratory equipment experience.
• Current driver’s licence.
