About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with medication administration and be able to provide emotional and physical support to those in need. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centred support in high physical support SDA settings.
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
  • Collaborating with clients, families, and support professionals to implement personalized support plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting on client progress and needs.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or related field.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in High Care including Peg & Rig Feeding (Preferred)
  • Passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities in a professional capacity.

 

To be Successful, You Should Possess:

  • Experience in SDA environments and with clients requiring high-care support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients and families.
  • Positive and empathetic attitude, adaptable to individual needs.
  • Experience in mental health support is desirable.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
