Helping Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our growing Perth team in a unique role that combines clinical leadership, staff training, participant support, stakeholder engagement and business growth.

This is not a traditional nursing role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, working with participants and families, delivering clinical training and representing our organisation within the Disability & Aged Care sector.

About the Role

As the Registered Nurse – Clinical & Community Partnerships, you will combine clinical expertise with community engagement and business development activities. You will be responsible for supporting participants with clinical needs, delivering training to support workers, maintaining clinical standards and building strong relationships with referral partners and stakeholders across the disability and healthcare sectors. This role is primarily office-based in South Perth but will involve travel to participant homes, networking events, meetings with stakeholders and community engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Participant Support

  • Conduct nursing assessments, clinical reviews and support participants with complex health and disability-related needs.
  • Develop and maintain care plans, clinical documentation and participant health supports.
  • Provide clinical guidance, oversight and best-practice advice to support workers, participants and families.
  • Support clinical governance, medication management, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

Training, Partnerships & Growth

  • Deliver training, coaching and competency assessments to support workers, promoting clinical excellence and workforce capability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, allied health providers, support coordinators, LACs and community organisations.
  • Represent Helping Solutions at networking events, expos and community forums to strengthen partnerships, support participant intake and develop referral opportunities that contribute to organisational growth.

Administration, Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate participant, clinical and training records.
  • Support compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational and leadership teams to enhance service delivery and participant outcomes.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  •  Early-career Registered Nurse with 2–5 years’ experience seeking to further develop their clinical expertise, community partnerships and professional capabilities
  • Experience within disability, community, aged care, rehabilitation or complex care environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience delivering staff training, mentoring or education
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team

 

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within the NDIS sector
  • Experience supporting participants with high-intensity or complex health needs
  • Existing professional networks within healthcare, disability or community services
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, community networking or business development
  • Understanding of NDIS funding and service delivery frameworks
