Projects Systems Representative (Civil)/Project Engineer

Summary:

As an experienced Civil Project Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the construction delivery team of this Mackay Head of Works (HoW) construction program.

The initial assignment is the Marian Hampden to Hudsons Road Pavement Strengthening Project, with the successful candidate potentially continuing across other road construction and maintenance projects in the Mackay region.

The role requires a practical, experienced civil construction professional with strong project engineering, quality assurance, construction systems and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Project engineering support for road construction, pavement strengthening and maintenance works.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, technical specifications and construction documentation.
• Management and coordination of project quality assurance systems, including CivilPro or equivalent.
• Preparation, management and close-out of quality records, construction lots and conformance documentation.
• Supporting construction programming, sequencing, production planning and forecasting.
• Monitoring project progress, productivity and performance against program requirements.
• Maintaining project records, reporting and document control.
• Assisting with technical problem-solving and construction-related decisions.
• Coordinating with the project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in civil road construction as a Project Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience delivering roadworks, pavement construction, rehabilitation or strengthening projects.
• Strong understanding of DTMR specifications, construction standards and project delivery processes.
• Experience with construction quality assurance, lot management and conformance records.
• Experience with CivilPro or a comparable quality management system.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Experience with construction programming, production planning and progress reporting.
• Ability to operate independently and work effectively with site-based construction teams.
• Construction Industry White Card (CPCCWHS1001).
• Current C Class driver’s licence.
• A Civil Engineering degree is preferred but is not mandatory
