Operating Wednesday – Sunday, the Kurrajong Hotel will serve lunch and dinner, expanding into breakfast in coming weeks, making it a true hub for locals and visitors alike.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence in the hospitality and catering industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a desire to contribute to a vibrant dining experience. FULL-TIME

and CASUAL roles are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and standards.
  • Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including inventory control and food safety compliance.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent cooking skills and a passion for food.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
