We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused Resort Assistant (Pool, Bar & Café) to join our team at Lake Taupō Holiday Resort. About the Role

As a Resort Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day operations across our poolside, bar, café, and guest service areas. You’ll play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences by delivering friendly service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll assist with stock replenishment, event support, food and beverage service, and general operational tasks across the resort. This is a varied role that requires a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask during busy periods.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing outstanding customer service to guests across the resort
  • Preparing and serving food and beverages in the café and bar
  • Assisting with stock control, stock rotation, and replenishment
  • Setting up and packing down service areas, events, and functions
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
  • Supporting resort operations and working collaboratively with other departments as required

What We’re Looking for

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage, customer service, or a similar guest facing role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts as part of a roster
