ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking two Park Assistants to join our team at Kaikoura TOP 10 Holiday Park.
As a Park Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that greets our guests and ensures their stay is smooth and enjoyable. You’ll assist with bookings and reception duties, provide advice on local attractions, support housekeeping and grounds teams when needed, and help keep our facilities in top condition.
This is a diverse role where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a team, problem-solving, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest bookings, check-ins, and departures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, friendly, helpful, and solutions focused.
- Provide local tourist information and assist with activity sales.
- Handle cash, EFTPOS, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Maintain communication with housekeeping and grounds teams regarding guest and maintenance needs.
- Support the upkeep of park facilities, gardens, and amenities.
- Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping as required.
- Follow Work Health & Safety policies and report incidents or hazards promptly.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented workplace.
- Participate in on-call duties when rostered.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
- Organised and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable with technology, including reservation and accounting systems.
- Flexible and willing to assist across all areas of the park.
- A team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Able to work a roster that may include weekends, evenings, and on-call duties.
Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or holiday park operations will be highly regarded, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
