Hampshire Property Group is a growing, family-owned owner and operator of holiday parks, residential villages and accommodation communities across Australia and New Zealand. Through Hampshire Holidays, Hampshire Villages, Hampshire Essentials and our New Zealand holiday parks, we create better ways for people to live, stay and explore.

Our purpose is simple: we bring everyday dreams to life. Our values of Innovation, Courage and Care guide how we work. We look for better ways to do things, we speak honestly and see things through, and we think about how our work affects the people around us.

Hampshire Villages creates welcoming over-50s communities where residents enjoy the next stage of life, with a home of their own and neighbours who become friends. Willow Grove, in Aberdeen NSW, is one of those communities.

 ABOUT THE ROLE

As Caretaker / Manager, you’ll be the person on the ground who keeps Willow Grove clean, tidy, safe and running smoothly. When something needs fixing or a resident needs help, you’ll make sure it’s looked after properly and respectfully.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll look after the village grounds, buildings and equipment, and run the village office, including resident accounts and our Reservations Management System (RMS). It’s a varied role where you’ll plan your own work and take real ownership of how the village looks and feels.

This is a full-time, on-site role. On-call responsibilities are part of the position.

 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Caring for the grounds, including mowing, irrigation, weeding and spraying, pruning, street cleaning and the rubbish area
  • Maintaining village-owned buildings, amenities and the office, plus plant, tools, vehicles and trailers
  • Running the village office day to day, including resident accounts and RMS
  • Ordering consumables, handling mail, reading gas and electricity meters, and completing internal reporting on time
  • Engaging and coordinating contractors for work outside your scope, within budget and approval processes
  • Keeping the village safe and compliant, including WHS practices and annual fire safety inspections
  • Applying village rules fairly and responding to resident feedback promptly and respectfully
  • Keeping your Operations Manager updated on work progress, infrastructure issues and projects

 WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Practical grounds and building maintenance skills (relevant qualifications highly regarded)
  • Confidence using computers and handling office administration
  • Clear, respectful written and verbal communication, including in challenging conversations
  • Strong time management and organisation, and the ability to work independently
  • A people-focused approach with residents, visitors and contractors
  • A genuine commitment to safe work practices
  • A current unrestricted driver licence and a current First Aid certificate and Police check

 WHY WORK WITH US?

  • Generous discounts on accommodation stays at our holiday and tourist parks
  • A free, confidential Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate family
  • Recognition through our employee reward and recognition programs
  • Variety every day, from hands-on outdoor work to village administration
  • Support from your Operations Manager and the wider Hampshire Villages team
