Description

Start your career solving real problems and shaping better ways of working

Hampshire is looking for curious, commercially minded graduates who want to help shape how a growing Australia and New Zealand business works with AI. This is not a traditional graduate program. You will learn about our business from the ground up, work across operational and corporate environments, and help turn genuine business problems into practical AI-enabled processes, workflows, prototypes, agents and tools.

Through structured AI development, meaningful rotations and exposure to experienced leaders, you will build the commercial, operational and leadership capability to become a future manager and an AI advocate across Hampshire. You do not need to begin as an AI expert, but you do need to be curious, proactive and excited about using emerging technology to create measurable improvements.

Opportunities in this stream

This stream offers four graduate opportunities across our professional and technology teams. When you apply, tell us which areas interest you most.

  • Legal: supporting the contracts and legal work that keep our business running, and helping make legal processes simpler across the business.
  • HR: supporting the people and processes that help our teams do their best work, and helping deliver HR improvements across the business.
  • Marketing: supporting the campaigns and guest experiences that bring our brands to life, and helping deliver marketing improvements across the business.
  • IT: supporting the systems and technology our teams use every day, and helping deliver IT improvements across the business.

What you will experience

During the 12-month program, you will:

  • Join a home business unit or Shared Services function.
  • Complete meaningful rotations based on business priorities and development opportunities.
  • Learn from operational teams and the people closest to the work.
  • Investigate processes, pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use approved AI tools to research, analyse and test ideas.
  • Help develop prototypes and beta test potential solutions.
  • Support teams to implement practical improvements.
  • Participate in regular AI learning and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Work with other graduates on genuine Hampshire business challenges.
  • Build relationships with leaders and teams across Hampshire.

You will be supported by a Graduate Manager, buddy, Graduate Program Lead and the wider graduate cohort.

Build practical AI capability

You do not need to join Hampshire as an AI expert.

We are looking for people who are interested in technology, willing to learn and curious about how AI could improve the way a business operates.

As part of the program, you will receive structured AI development and opportunities to apply your learning to real work. You will learn how to:

  • Use approved AI tools confidently and responsibly.
  • Understand a business problem before choosing a solution.
  • Map and analyse processes.
  • Identify repetitive or low-value work.
  • Develop and test practical ideas.
  • Consider privacy, cybersecurity, data and implementation risks.
  • Explain AI opportunities in clear business language.
  • Share learning and help others build confidence.

Our goal is to develop graduates who can become practical AI advocates across Hampshire.

Who we are looking for

You do not need to be an AI expert or come from a technology degree. We are looking for high-potential graduates and early-career candidates who are genuinely excited by the opportunity to use AI, technology and fresh thinking to improve how a business operates.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Actively explore AI, emerging technology or new digital tools.
  • Are commercially curious and want to understand how a business works.
  • Enjoy investigating complex or unclear problems and finding practical solutions.
  • Can turn an idea into action rather than stopping at the concept stage.
  • Take ownership, show initiative and are comfortable working with limited direction.
  • Think critically, challenge assumptions respectfully and ask thoughtful questions.
  • Communicate clearly with operational teams, technical specialists and business leaders.
  • Consider the people, risks and practical realities involved in implementing change.
  • Are willing to spend time in our operations and learn from the people closest to the work.
  • Want to develop into a future manager or leader with strong commercial and AI capability.

These roles look for a relevant degree: law for Legal; human resources, business or organisational psychology for HR; communications, customer experience or service design for Marketing; and IT, computer science, information systems, data science, cybersecurity or similar for IT.
