Summary:

The ReStore Manager at Te Rapa plays a vital role in supporting our charity’s mission by overseeing the daily operations of the ReStore. This position is essential for generating revenue through the sale of donated goods, while also promoting sustainability and community engagement. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and maximising the impact of our charitable efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the ReStore, including staff supervision and volunteer coordination.
  • Oversee inventory management, including the sorting, pricing, and display of donated items.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximise revenue and promote community engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised store environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Train and mentor staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the charity’s overall mission and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar role, preferably within a charity or voluntary sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and sales reporting.
