Description

Verve Intimate is a modern boudoir photography brand focused on creating empowering, confidence-building experiences for everyday people. Our sessions are about more than beautiful photographs — we create a relaxed, supportive environment where clients are professionally guided throughout their experience, helping them feel comfortable, confident and celebrated in front of the camera.

About the role

This is a rare seat. Our South Melbourne studio took out Studio Cup at last year’s Verve Awards night — and the team behind that win are some of the most talented creative talent in the business. Now it’s your chance to step in, make the studio your own, and lead them to even bigger things.

You’ll run the day-to-day and personally see clients through their experience — whether that’s behind the camera in a session or across the table in a design appointment. Outside of managing the studio, you’ll personally take on a small number of appointments each week — either as a photographer or as a designer running sales consultations.

Full-time, 40 hours per week across 5 days. Rosters include a weekend day (Sat or Sun ) and some evenings to meet appointment demand.

About us

Verve has been leading the way in family portraiture for 18 years. Since then we’ve moved into boudoir photography, and Verve Intimate is now growing faster than ever — three luxury studios launched across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in under a year, and we’re now expanding internationally with our first studio in New Zealand.

We’re a rare mix: fast-growing, yet already established, with big plans ahead. Our aim is to take on the rather dated boudoir industry and redefine it — introducing contemporary boudoir photography and an experience clients genuinely rave about.

Don’t just take our word for it — read the 164 five-star reviews already left for the South Melbourne studio.

What you’ll do

  • Run the studio — own daily operations, scheduling, presentation standards, and the systems that keep everything moving.
  • Complete a small number of appointments each week — depending on your strengths, that might mean shooting a boudoir session yourself, or leading a design appointment. ( Helping clients decide on their artwork and complete their order )
  • Set the tone in-session — guide each client from nervous to celebrated, whether you’re behind the camera or guiding them through their gallery.
  • Lead an award-winning team — take the reins of a small, established team of photographers, designers and makeup artists.
  • Deliver a premium experience — for every client, from first enquiry to artwork delivery, in a private, judgment-free space.

Who you are

  • Confident with sales — you can present, inspire and close with grace, and you enjoy it.
  • A broad understanding of photography — as Studio Manager it’s important that you have a good understanding of photography, but you don’t need to be a professional photographer. The role lets you choose the lane that suits you: running design consultations, or photographing boudoir sessions yourself.
  • A personality clients love — warm, unhurried and brilliant one-on-one; people trust you as much for how you make them feel as for the outcome you deliver.
  • A natural leader — organised, accountable and calm under pressure; people get better around you.
  • Discreet and reliable — you understand the care an intimate studio demands, and you finish every job on the day.
  • Flexible — available to work a weekend day and evenings as required.

What’s on offer

  • A rare leadership seat — take the reins of an award-winning studio and make it your own, backed by a team that already knows how to win.
  • The backing of an established brand — proven systems, full training in the Verve way, and a supportive network behind you.
  • Rewarding work — a competitive package with genuine performance rewards, discussed at interview.
  • Work that matters — every appointment gives someone permission to see themselves differently.

How to apply

Apply via SEEK with your CV and, if you have one, a link to your photography portfolio — we’d love to see your work, but a strong sales and leadership background is just as valued. Applications are handled with complete discretion.

PLEASE NOTE: Submissions without a completed application form will not be reviewed.
