Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and supporting the delivery of high-quality aged care services.

About the Role
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership across the organization. This includes preparing and analyzing budgets, reporting on financial performance, overseeing administrative operations, and supporting long-term strategic planning in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to the CEO, CFO, Executive Team, and Finance Committee.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows across multiple cost centers.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and statutory reporting.
- Supervise the Debtors, Creditors, and General Ledger functions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Support strategic planning processes including development of 3–5-year financial forecasts.
- Monitor revenue streams, aged reports, and financial compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal controls, financial processes, and reporting tools.
- Provide leadership to administrative staff and ensure efficient office operations.
- Act as a key liaison between residents, families, management, and clinical/support teams, maintaining a high standard of service and communication.
About You
You will bring a strong financial background with the ability to manage complex reporting, support strategic decisions, and contribute to a collaborative workplace.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial role.
- Proficient in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and statutory reporting.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Desirable:
- Experience in the aged care, health, or not-for-profit sector.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with WHS and risk management principles.
