About Us:

Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, have two facilities, Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge and we are seeking Assistants in Nursing to join our clinical team on a part-time or casual basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing accurate documentation, and maintaining a caring and empathetic attitude towards residents.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistants in Nursing (AIN’s) to join our team. As an AIN, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and contributing to the overall comfort and well-being of patients under the guidance of our registered nurses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
  • Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and general well-being
  • Support registered nurses in providing high-quality care
  • Maintain resident records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards
  • Assist in resident mobility and positioning
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff

About You:

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual who is committed to providing the highest standard of care to our residents. The successful candidate will have:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work night shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow care plans and instructions
  • A genuine passion for helping others and a caring attitude
