We are seeking a Graduate Site Engineer to join our team. This is a site-based role, working across project sites in and around Melbourne, so travel between sites will be required.
About the Role
Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and administration of a document control system for QA requirements.
- Assisting in creating QA documentation such as ITPs and checklists, and helping coordinate hold point inspections.
- Helping coordinate geotechnical and geosynthetic testing with the project team.
- Completing daily site diaries and monitoring daily costs and production figures.
- Helping keep permits, drawings and specifications up to date and distributed to the team.
- Assisting with GPS surveying, set-out and updating CAD files (training provided).
- Helping check supplier and subcontractor invoices, and assisting with monthly claims and variations.
- Contributing to work planning, including two-week look-ahead resource schedules.
- Taking part in site safety and environmental inspections, and helping prepare SWMS.
- Attending project meetings, taking minutes and following up on actions.
- Promoting Goldsmith’s values and culture within the project team.
About you
To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:
- A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid working rights in Australia
