About us:

GO.FARM is an Australian-owned, high-conviction agricultural investor, developer and manager with a clear purpose: to transform Australian agriculture.

We identify underutilised and undercapitalised agricultural assets and reimagine them through land use change, investment in people, and adoption of climate-smart technologies. Our investment decisions and operations are underpinned by our Responsible Agriculture Framework, which guides our stewardship of natural capital, people and communities.

About the role:

We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Manager to join our team in the Goulburn Valley.

Based on-farm in Katunga, you’ll lead a team of two and oversee financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting across our Goulburn Valley operations.

Working closely with the General Manager, Farm Managers and operational leaders, you’ll play an important role in providing financial insights, improving cost management and supporting informed business decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee financial reporting, management accounts, budgets and forecasts across our Goulburn Valley operations.
  • Partner with farm leadership to provide meaningful financial analysis, insights and commercial advice.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Support operational decision-making across labour, production costs, capital expenditure and resource allocation.
  • Lead, coach and develop direct reports, building a collaborative and high-performing finance team.
  • Work closely with operational leaders to identify opportunities to improve productivity, manage costs and strengthen financial performance.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, financial controls and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and improve financial reporting tools, systems and processes to support operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader GO.FARM Finance team to ensure consistent reporting, financial governance and alignment with business objectives.
  • Other duties as required

About you:

You’re a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with people, understanding business operations and making a real difference.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others, with a genuine interest in developing people.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with operational leaders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to challenge existing ways of working.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial management systems.
  • An interest in agriculture and a desire to understand the operational side of the business.

  • Flexibility through enhanced leave options, salary sacrifice opportunities, and competitive incentives
