We are seeking experienced and motivated Disability Support workers that carry the above values to join our residential disability support team on a casual basis across the NW of Tasmania, working mostly between Latrobe and Ulverstone, with adult participants.
At Glenhaven we understand family and flexibility and try to support a good work / life balance. We are looking for Support Workers to work dayshifts, afternoon shifts + sleepover shifts Monday to Sunday, and regular weekend shifts.
You will hold a disability qualification at a minimum of Cert III and / or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industry and / or be prepared to access training.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Be available to work across a 24/7 roster including sleep overs and weekends.
- Be passionate, resilient, a good communicator and team player.
- Be patient and extremely supportive.
- Hold a current full Australian Driver’s licence (minimum P2 licence) is essential.
- Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card (NDIS endorsed) is essential, or the ability to acquire.
- Hold a current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check OR National Police Check is essential, or the ability to acquire.
- Hold a current First Aid certificate (essential).
- Have completed Medication Endorsement training or be prepared to do so.
