Description
WE’RE LOOKING FOR A PEST CONTROLLER WHO ASKS “WHY?”
And occasionally, “What if we tried this?”
At GippsPest, we like people who get curious about their work. The ones who want to find out how the rats are getting in, why a treatment hasn’t worked as expected, or whether there’s a better tool for the job.
If that sounds like you, we’d like a chat.
We’re Tara and Shannon, the owners of Gippsland Pest Management. We work in the business every day. We care about our clients, we care about our team, and we put time and money into helping our people become better technicians.
That means experienced people to learn from, real mentorship and investing in the equipment you use. It also means being willing to try something different. We’ve invested in tools like the Duckbill Duster and built our own client portals because improving how we work matters to us.
We want people who’ll contribute to that. Ask questions. Bring ideas. Challenge a process if you can see a smarter way to do it. Good judgement and safe work always come with the territory.
HOW MANY SIDES OF PEST MANAGEMENT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN?
Our business has four key service areas:
- Wildlife & Vertebrate Management
- Residential Pest Services
- Business Pest Services
- Termite Management
You might already have a favourite. You might be qualified in general pest control and keen to get your teeth into something else. If you want to become a more diversified technician, there’s plenty here to explore alongside people with experience to share.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
You’re already a qualified pest controller who can inspect a property, work out what’s happening and carry out an appropriate treatment. You know when to back your judgement and when to ask for another set of eyes.
You’ll need:
- Relevant pest-control qualifications, a current Victorian pest-control licence and driver’s licence.
- Practical experience carrying out inspections and treatments independently.
- The ability to explain your findings and recommendations clearly to clients.
- Thorough service reports, photos and follow-up notes. The paperwork is part of finishing the job.
- Reliability, safe work habits and care for your equipment, customers and teammates.
You don’t need to know all four sides of our business already. Bring a solid foundation, a willingness to learn and an interest in contributing your own ideas.
