Join Gidgee Healing and deliver essential, culturally responsive speech pathology services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across North West Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to work across clinic and outreach settings while making a meaningful impact on health outcomes.

About the role

As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality assessment and intervention across the lifespan, with a strong focus on paediatric services, communication difficulties and dysphagia. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary primary health care team and contribute to holistic, community-led care.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver speech pathology assessment, diagnosis and therapy
  • Provide paediatric services in clinics, schools and community settings
  • Conduct dysphagia screening and generalist rehabilitation
  • Support early intervention and chronic condition management
  • Participate in outreach services, including remote travel
  • Collaborate with GPs, Aboriginal Health Workers and allied health staff
  • Deliver client, family and community education
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement
