At Gibbston Valley Wines, we’re proud to offer a unique golf experience set amongst the stunning Central Otago landscape. Our Greenkeeping team plays a vital role in ensuring our course is maintained to an exceptional standard for our members and guests.

The role:

As a Greenkeeper, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our golf course, ensuring excellent playing surfaces and contributing to the overall guest experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding areas
  • Operating turf maintenance equipment such as mowers and utility vehicles
  • Assisting with irrigation, fertilising, and turf care programmes
  • Supporting course setup and presentation
  • Assisting with general grounds and course improvement projects
  • Following Health and Safety procedures and company SOPs

About you

  • Previous greenkeeping, turf management, or similar experience preferred
  • Passion for working outdoors and maintaining high standards
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to apply agrichemicals if required (training can be provided)

The important bits

  • Full time permanent position Monday to Friday (some weekend work may be required on a rotating basis)
  • Pay: Competitive pay based on skills and experience
  • Full NZ Work rights
  • We’re not offering visa sponsorship for this role. You must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand (e.g., NZ/Aus citizen, resident, or an open work visa/ WHV).
