Description

Gibbston Valley Golf Club is one of New Zealand’s newest premium golf clubs, offering a unique nine-hole experience set amongst the vineyards of Gibbston Valley.

We’re looking for a Golf Experience Coordinator to join our team and help shape the day-to-day experience of our members and guests.

Working closely with our Director of Golf, you’ll coordinate the daily operation of the Club, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, every booking runs smoothly, and every visit reflects the premium experience Gibbston Valley is known for.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Golf Club from the early stages of its journey and develop your career as the Club continues to evolve.

About the Role

  • Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Otago, Gibbston
  • Employment type: Full-time permanent position
  • Hours of work: 40 hours per week on a roster, including weekends

As Golf Experience Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the daily operation of the Golf Club, including:

  • Delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests.
  • Managing daily golf bookings, check-in and equipment hire.
  • Coordinating memberships and maintaining member records.
  • Overseeing the presentation and operation of the Golf Shop.
  • Coordinating golf events, competitions and club activities.
  • Working closely with Hospitality, Events and other teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Coordinating Casual Golf Pro Shop Attendants during the golf season.

Note: As a premium destination, our Golf Club operates an annual winter maintenance closure (typically early July through late August). Employees are expected to utilize the majority of their annual leave during this period.

About You

You’ll enjoy working with people and take pride in creating exceptional experiences.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, golf operations or another customer-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
  • Confidence using booking systems, POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Previous golf industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
