Job description

Complete allocated auto electrical work safely, efficiently and to the required quality, with clear job records and communication. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in mining vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety in our operations. As an entry-level role, this position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in mining vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety.
• Install new electrical components and systems as required.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Weekly responsibilities

• Attend the team meeting and review workload, work in progress and next week’s priorities.
• Review safety, quality, productivity, customer service and record accuracy with the Leading Hand.

Periodic and as required

• Monthly: review performance, outstanding safety actions and training needs.
• Annually: complete the performance review, agree a training plan and acknowledge applicable company policies.

Performance expectations

Safe work; quality completion; productive use of time; clear communication; accurate job records. Be willing to undertake training specific to the explosives industry.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

·Trade Cert or Engineering Cert as a Auto Electrician

·Blasting/Explosives/Mining desirable

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
