About The Role
As a Product Manager, you’ll own one or more product from discovery through delivery. You’ll work closely with Design, Engineering, Marketing, CRM, Distribution, Compliance and Operations to solve meaningful customer problems while delivering measurable business outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who is early in their product career, enjoys talking to customers, using data to inform decisions and collaborating across teams to deliver great digital experiences. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your product area while contributing to Generate’s wider digital growth strategy.
You can expect your day to day to look something like this:
- Own the day-to-day management of your product area, from discovery through delivery.
- Talk to members and advisers to understand problems, test ideas and validate solutions.
- Work closely with Agile delivery teams to prioritise the backlog, write user stories and keep delivery moving.
- Use customer insights, analytics and experimentation to measure performance and improve outcomes.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and quarterly planning, supporting the Senior Product Manager on broader product strategy.

Collaborate across Technology, Marketing, CRM, Distribution, Operations and Compliance to deliver great digital experiences.
- Keep across KiwiSaver, Managed Funds and fintech trends and bring relevant insights into product development.
About You
We’re looking for a curious, customer-focused Product Manager who enjoys getting close to customers, understanding their problems and turning insights into practical digital solutions. You’ll be comfortable working with Agile teams, using data to make decisions and balancing customer, commercial and regulatory needs. Collaborative, proactive and hands-on, you’ll enjoy taking ownership of your product area, bringing people together and seeing ideas through from discovery to delivery.
In addition to the above you will also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- 3 years’ experience in Product Management
- Experience working with digital products
- Strong customer discovery skills
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams
- Comfortable using analytics to make decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to simplify complex problems
- Proficiency with applicable work management technology and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro and Figma etc.)
