Summary:
The Student Services & Transport Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring safe and reliable transport operations across our domestic campus sites, particularly the Youth Campus.
This role plays a key part in ensuring students can access their education safely and reliably. This includes coordinating daily transport operations across our domestic campuses, particularly the Youth Campus, as well as providing hands‑on support to keep the campus running smoothly.
As a valued member of the Student Services Team, the role assists tutors and the pastoral care team with student supervision, contributes to a welcoming campus environment, and is available to step in and support the team when needed.
This role requires a proactive, organised, and responsible individual who can build strong relationships with staff and students whilst delivering high quality transport and support services.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating safe, punctual, and reliable student transport between home, head office, and campus locations
- Supporting daily Youth Campus operations, including general onsite duties and student supervision
- Providing backup to the Student Services Team as required
- Building strong, positive relationships with learners, staff, whānau, and community partners
- Ensuring the campus is well serviced, monitored, and maintained
Skills and Experience Required:
- A full, clean driver’s licence
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in youth, education, or community‑focused environments (advantageous)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff
- Confidence managing time, juggling multiple tasks, and working independently
- Solid record‑keeping skills and the ability to report maintenance or transport issues accurately
- Computer skills for communication, scheduling, and documentation
- Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a calm approach to urgent issues
- A mature and collaborative mindset
