Description

Auckland International Campus (AIC), in partnership with Future Skills Academy, is one of the highest quality tertiary education providers in New Zealand.

We are searching for a Learning & Teaching Projects Lead to join our Academic Department. This is a pivotal role that will oversee and drive the successful delivery of organisation-wide learning and teaching projects. The L&T Projects Lead will also guide departments to design, integrate, and evaluate high-quality, innovative, and adaptable learning solutions and resources for learners in the age of AI.

This position is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Auckland International Campus in the Auckland, CBD.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop curricula and programmes with staff and subject matter experts to reflect AIC’s pedagogy, Experiential Learning Framework and Te Tiriti commitments
  • Working in close partnership with academic staff providing support and recommendations regarding course design and to enhance teaching capability and build capability in instructional technology
  • Programmes are designed to meet learner and industry needs
  • Programme teams are supported to meet NZQA and TEC requirements
  • Guide the development of AI-safe assessment practices across the organisation
  • Embed digital tools effectively to transform learning experiences for students
  • Engage in scholarly inquiry and applied research
  • Collaborate and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and/or experience:

  • Qualification at master’s degree level is essential (a PhD is desirable)
  • Tertiary teaching qualification with a practicum (NZQA level 7 or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in reviewing and evaluating learning and teaching materials and plans within tertiary education
  • Demonstrated ability to implement sound learning design and assessment principles
  • Demonstrated capability in mentoring or coaching teaching staff with the ability to inspire confidence and foster professional growth
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities and timelines
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying innovative approaches in learning and teaching
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative style that builds trust and influence across diverse teams
