The Opportunity?

We are after a Business Services Supervisor with outstanding customer service skills to assist with our portfolio of clients. The successful person will play a pivotal role in developing the financial livelihood of high-growth tech and online companies. We are looking for bright and growth-oriented CA/CPAs (or aspiring) with 2-3+ years of public practice experience that loves to learn and progress. You'll succeed by applying a diverse level of hands-on experience and assisting with strategic & compliance tax advice.

You’ll use your accounting & finance expertise, client management, leadership skills, and people management skills to help scale the businesses of your clients to the next level.

This role could be structured as a PT or a FT role based on availability.

The day-to-day

  • Providing both accounting and compliance advice to clients
  • Perform primarily a review and quality assurance role for the firm, supporting clients including individuals, businesses, trusts although some processing may be required from time to time
  • Assist in managing an online team with ongoing professional development through leadership, coaching, support, ongoing training and monitoring of KPI's
  • Drive the firm's overall budgeted billing and lodgement targets, including actively scoping billing opportunities/clients and managing month-end WIP analysis and billing procedures
  • Conduct accounting, taxation, and business advisory research and technical advice work for clients
  • Managing and reviewing Income Tax, GST, PAYG, FBT & BAS returns
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • Internal reporting duties – budgets, WIP, recoverable/productivity rates/reports
  • Resolving client queries & matters
  • Write technical tax articles for the firm
  • Developing into an executive responsible for risk management & avoidance
  • Support business and corporate advisory services and special projects, including due diligence, research and letters of advice
  • Assist with team member performance evaluations and appraisals
  • Participate in online seminars and client/staff training, as well as assist with conferences, workshops, podcasts & articles
  • Other tasks as needed
