We are looking for new casual Game Masters (GMs) to join our awesome team for the rollout of our new Fortress Experiences initiative! We’re currently looking for GMs in the following locations:

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for personable subject matter experts to deliver our exciting new Fortress Experiences across a range of partner venues. You might be the person who’s always running the D&D table for your friend group, or the one who can talk anyone through their first game of Magic without making them feel silly for asking questions. Our Fortress Experiences hosts bring games to life; teaching new players, running workshops, hosting events and competitions, all with zero gatekeeping and zero tolerance for trolls. We want people walking away buzzing, whether that’s from a great session, a new favourite deck, or just feeling welcome at the table. If you love the games as much as the people playing them, and you’re keen to be the face of Fortress while you’re at it, we want to hear from you!

This role pays as a Grade 2 non-exhibition under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2020.

Ideal Candidates Must Have:

• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, Board Games (Eurogame-focused)
• Experience in a customer service environment
• Outstanding guest service skills, and a willingness to upsell
• Confidence in handling guest complaints & resolutions
• High energy with the ability to multi-task & work autonomously
• Excellent personal presentation & a positive “can do” attitude
• Flexibility to work across multiple venues as required
• Flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings, weekends & public holidays
• Full ongoing rights to work in Australia
