About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and community-focused Manager – Mount Isa to lead the delivery of football operations across the Gulf region.
Reporting to the Region General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of football in the region, ensuring the successful delivery of competitions, programs and community initiatives. This role is central to building strong relationships with clubs, stakeholders and local partners while driving participation growth and enhancing the football experience.
You will also oversee operations at Mount Isa Football Park, including managing a part-time Maintenance Officer and ensuring the facility is maintained to a high standard for the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regional outcomes aligned with Football Queensland’s strategic plan
- Drive participation growth, including increased engagement of women and girls
- Coordinate and deliver football programs, including academy initiatives
- Support the delivery and administration of competitions and events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clubs, stakeholders and local government
- Provide guidance and training to club administrators and volunteers
- Support scheduling, results management, and disciplinary processes
- Assist in sponsorship, partnerships and commercial initiatives
- Oversee operations of Mount Isa Football Park, including maintenance and venue services
- Contribute to the delivery of futsal programs within the Gulf region

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in administration or operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Desirable:
- Qualifications in Business, Sports Management or related field
- Experience in community sport or the football industry
- Understanding of the Australian sporting landscape

Additional Information
- This role requires regular after-hours and weekend work
- Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required
