Based onsite and working closely with operational teams, this role will help ensure we continue to meet the highest standards of compliance, safety and product integrity.
About the Role
Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll support the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of Foodfolk’s Quality Management System while helping to drive a strong food safety and workplace safety culture across the site.
This is a genuine dual Quality and Safety role. While food safety and quality assurance form a significant part of the position, the successful candidate will also play an active role in supporting workplace health and safety initiatives, incident investigations, risk management activities and the ongoing development of a positive safety culture.
This is a hands-on role that combines quality assurance activities, food safety monitoring, GMP inspections, audit support, incident investigation, training and operational engagement. You’ll spend time on the production floor building relationships, conducting inspections and coaching teams to ensure standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct food safety, quality and GMP inspections across operational and production areas.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Foodfolk’s Quality Management System and HACCP programs.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, quality, GMP and workplace safety requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, including managing non-conformances and corrective actions through to completion.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, customer complaints and quality issues, identifying root causes and preventative actions.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, risk assessments, inspections and incident management activities.
- Analyse quality and safety data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver training, coaching and practical support to operational teams on food safety, quality and safety requirements.
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and actively engage with operational teams to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
