THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Customer Service team is growing, and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trade Counter Salesperson to join our friendly team at the Pukekohe NZ branch.

Are you passionate about sales and enjoy customer facing? As a Trade Counter Salesperson you will be responsible for providing high level and expert front-line customer service and technical sales support for hydraulic hoses, fittings, and related products. This exciting and varied role involves processing sales orders, advising customers, assembling hoses when required, managing stock, and contributing to the efficient daily operation of the Pukekohe branch.

You’ll be joining a down-to-earth team where things move quickly, there’s plenty of variety and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact across our NZ team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve customers at the trade counter, over the phone, and via email
  • You’ll provide product advice and technical support.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using the company’s point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
  • Prepare and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings to meet customer specifications as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and communicate this effectively to customers.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels on the trade counter and in storage areas; assist with stock takes as directed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including workshop and field service teams, to ensure timely fulfilment of customer requirements.

ABOUT YOU

• Familiarity with hydraulic components and fluid transfer systems highly regarded.

• Have strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Have the ability to understand technical products and offer practical solutions.

• High attention to detail and accuracy when processing sales and assembling products.

• Sound computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
