About the Role

Worked retail or fast food and led a team through a mad Friday night rush? Then you already have exactly what we’re looking for. This role isn’t about smoothing over an unhappy customer, it’s about leading a crew of great people through a fast-paced production day, keeping quality high and the shift running like clockwork.

If you can lead, engage and motivate a team, keep your cool under pressure, and get a job done safely and on time, we want to talk to you about bringing those skills into horticulture.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, coaching and rostering a team
  • Solving problems collaboratively and keeping your team motivated when things get busy
  • Training new starters and building a crew that wants to come back tomorrow
  • Building and developing capability in your team
  • Promoting a strong safety and quality culture and proactively addressing risks and performance concerns
  • Leading shoulder to shoulder, hands-on with your team, with people, quality and safety at the centre of it.

What You’ll Bring

  • Leadership or supervisory experience from retail, fast food, hospitality or a similarly fast-paced environment
  • A track record of keeping a team on track in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to make decisions on the floor
  • Reliability: someone your team and your manager can count on
  • No horticulture experience needed, we’ll teach you the growing side

Why Make the Move from Retail or Fast Food?

  • No more customers: use the same leadership skills, minus the complaints
  • Set, predictable shifts: no more juggling split shifts or working every public holiday
  • A genuine leadership career path in a growing Australian industry
  • Immediate stability: consistent hours and a stable roster you can build a life around
  • Cutting-edge and sustainable: learn new tech and skills in an industry that’s genuinely innovating
