Summary:
Join our team as a Marine Tour Guide, where you’ll lead engaging tours and share your passion for marine life with guests. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Fitzroy Island while educating guests about marine ecosystems. This position requires a daily commute from Cairns
Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours of marine environments, highlighting local wildlife and ecosystems.
- Educate guests on marine conservation and the importance of protecting marine habitats.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during tours.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for tours.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance tour experiences and develop new tour offerings.
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the shop.
Qualifications:
- A passion for marine life and the environment.
- Previous experience in guiding tours or working in a customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of marine ecosystems and conservation practices is an advantage.
